Boeing Stearman PT-17 Kaydet
The Boeing Stearman is a biplane and was mainly used as a training aircraft. This for both the US Army and the US Navy with the model designation N2S-3. More than 10,600 of these biplanes were built between 1930 and 1950. It was a true training workhorse of the American defense. In addition to a military training function, this type also served as a 'crop duster'. The nickname Kaydet comes from Canada where the coffin was widely used.
